Meet Marion and Jocelyn

We are Marion and Jocelyn, and we welcome you to Les Musards with simplicity and sincerity. Calm and thoughtful by nature, we have created a place that reflects who we are – a peaceful setting where you can immediately feel at ease.

We truly care about welcoming our guests and ensuring you feel comfortable throughout your stay. We will be there to greet you on arrival and remain discreetly available if needed, offering a style of hospitality that is attentive, natural and unpretentious.

Les Musards is the result of our complementary skills. Jocelyn has been closely involved in the renovation and layout of the house, while Marion, with her passion for interior design, has carefully shaped the atmosphere and every detail. Together, we have created a comfortable retreat, designed for a quiet and relaxing stay in the countryside.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does check-in work?

You will be welcomed in person by us, Marion and Jocelyn, as we live on site in the adjoining house.
The keys will be handed to you directly. We can also show you around the house and explain how everything works, either on arrival or at a time that suits you.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

We spend several hours preparing the house to ensure everything is perfectly ready for your arrival.
Check-in is from 4 pm, and check-out is before 10 am.
If you would like to arrive a little earlier or leave later, feel free to ask. Depending on availability, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Do I need to bring my own towels?

No, bed linen and towels are provided and renewed weekly for stays longer than one week. For your personal laundry, the house is equipped with a washing machine and drying racks, and ironing equipment is available on request.

Is everything provided for cooking?

The kitchen is new and fully equipped, so there is usually nothing you need to bring. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to check the availability of any specific item.

Do you provide breakfast?

No, unlike a bed and breakfast, our holiday home does not include breakfast.
However, one of the best bakeries in the area is located in the village, and its butter croissants are excellent.

Where are the nearest shops?

In the village of Commequiers (just 2 minutes by car), you will find local shops including a bakery and a small grocery store with a butcher's counter.
At the Commequiers market (Wednesdays and Saturdays), you will find fruit and vegetables, fishmongers and a range of local produce.
In the nearby town of Challans (10 minutes away), you will find supermarkets and a full range of shops.

Is the house suitable for guests with reduced mobility?

Unfortunately not, as the bedroom and bathroom are located upstairs.

Where can I park my car?

A private parking space is reserved for you within the property, right next to the house.

Where can I charge my electric vehicle?

Several fast charging stations (50 kW and above) are available within 10 minutes, in Challans and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.

Are pets allowed?

We are sorry for dog and cat owners. Only guide dogs and assistance dogs are accepted.

Is the house non-smoking?

The house is non-smoking. However, smoking is allowed outdoors, on the terrace, in the garden or around the pool.

How is the internet connection?

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and on the terrace.
Our fibre connection provides speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

Are there any rules for using the pool?

There are no specific rules; the pool is accessible at all times. During the day, it is entirely reserved for your exclusive use. We only access it in the evening for maintenance.
The pool is not heated, and the water is treated by salt electrolysis. It measures 10 x 4 meters, with a flat bottom (1.4 m deep), and is accessed via built-in steps.

How can we use the bikes provided?

Two all-purpose bikes are available for your use free of charge, on a self-service basis. Helmets and locks are also provided. The bikes are for your exclusive use.
